1 Born in Antofagasta, Chile, in 1947. Anthropologist. Now lives in Sweden. Member of staff (human osteology) of the osteological section of the National Museum of Antiquities in Stockholm. Studied social anthropology and osteology at the University of Stockholm (1978–80) and archaeology at the University of Uppsala, Sweden. At present chairman of the subproject ‘Physical Anthropology of the Andean Area’, Regional Anthropological project carried out by the Organization of American States (OAS) in Lima, Peru.
