ABSTRACT:

This article outlines the veterinary nurse's role in dealing with a dyspnoeic cat that is brought into the veterinary practice. It covers a discussion of emergency triage, oxygen delivery methods and stabilisation.

Amy Andrews Dip AVN (Small Animal) RVN

Amy has worked as a veterinary nurse since 1997, gaining her VN qualification in 2000 and a Dip AVN in 2010. She has experience of working in mixed, small animal and referral practices, a university and at an emergency night clinic. Amy's main interest is feline medical nursing and she is currently on maternity leave.
