Abstract
A hybrid method of solving Maue's equation for axisymmetric perfect conductors is developed. The "self-patch" improper surface integrals, and those of the adjacent patches, are evaluated analytically by retaining the leading terms of the local Taylor expansions of their integrands. The remaining part of the solution is numerical. The method is applied, as a test, to scattering by spheres and thin dipole antennas and then to disks and cone-spheres of various sizes.
