Solitons in Nonlinear Fiber Arrays

Abstract

The propagation of solitons, due to non-Kerr law nonlinearity, through nonlinear fiber arrays is studied here in this paper. The parameter dynamics of such solitons, that are governed by the coupled generalized nonlinear Schrodinger's equation, has been obtained, for the first time, in this paper. This dynamical system can be used to study optical switching.
