Abstract
A multi-layered polarizable earth model is created and then exploited in developing an iterative least square algorithm for inverting induced polarization data. The earth model, which accounts for electromagnetic coupling, uses an azimuthal dipole-dipole array configuration and provides a new definition for the earth apparent resistivity. In applying the iterative least square algorithm, the DC parameters of the earth model are considered as an initial guess. Applying the iterative algorithm with only two iterations have proved to be accurate enough for the inversion process.
