Abstract

An analysis of an extended hemi-spherical lens fed by a microstrip patch antenna is presented. This kind of antenna has important applications in millimeter wave systems because of its simple structure, low cost, mechanical rigidity and thermal stability. The input impedance, mutual coupling between patches and radiation patterns are calculated. Monopulse radiation pattern is also presented. Calculated results are compared with some experimental results.
