A Simple Iterative Current-Based Hybrid Method and its Fast implementation over a wide Frequency Band

Pages 55-66 | Published online: 03 Apr 2012

Abstract

The paper presents a simple iterative current-based hybrid method to consider complex coupling effects among sub-regions of complicated structures. The new analysis expands the application ranges of the conventional moment-method physical-optics (MM-PO) method and the iterative MM-PO method that can only consider multi-bounce in PO region. However, the time-costing problem still exists when the improved analysis involves many large sub-regions. The problem becomes more pronounced if wide-band analysis of antenna is needed in a practical electromagnetic project. As a fast wide-band analysis technique, [Z] matrix interpolation can be easily implemented to the presented method. So the proposed iterative method is further combined with [Z] matrix interpolation to achieve its fast implementation over a wide frequency band.
