A Field Theoretical Method for Analyzing Microwave Cavity with Arbitrary Cross-Section

Pages 435-446 | Published online: 03 Apr 2012

Abstract

In this paper a microwave cavity with an arbitrary cross-section is analyzed using the method of lines, and the correctness of the analytic method is demonstrated. A novel truncated circular microwave cavity is presented and its electromagnetic field distribution and resonances are calculated and analyzed. The analytic model in this paper has some advantages including less computational quantity, easy formulation, and extensive application. It can be used for researching electromagnetic field boundary value problems.
