Analysis of Dielectric Waveguide Termination with Tilted Facets by Analytic Continuity Method

Abstract

We apply analytic continuity method to study the reflection from terminating the dielectric waveguide with a tilted facet. Our method is based on the analytical continuity principle using the exact waveguide mode solutions. This technique is suitable for analyzing waveguide with small tilt angles. Optimization of tilt angle and numerical verification of the method is demonstrated.
