Abstract

The IF signals of vehicle detecting radar are usually corrupted by disturbances, it is difficult to estimate parameter of target exactly from the IF signals in frequency domain analysis. The Wigner-Hough Transform (WHT) is proposed to estimate parameter of target based on the analysis the Wigner-Ville distribution of target and disturbances in the time-frequency plane. Some measures are also proposed to decrease the computation of WHT in order to process signals in real time. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the method in target detection.
