Abstract
This paper describes the application of the order-marching time-domain (OMTD) method coupled with the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to the solution of eigenvalue problems. In the cylindrical coordinate system, the resonant frequencies of the TE01 δ modes of a millimeter-wave cylindrical cavity dielectrically loaded at the base are determined. The results obtained with our proposed method are compared to the theoretical solutions and results with the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method.
