Abstract

Investigating the propagation properties of Ultra-wideband (UWB) is the essential topics in UWB channel theory. In this paper, the refraction coefficients of electromagnetism wave both the vertical incidence and the slanting incidence have been deduced. Furthermore, a novel approach to the refraction propagation characteristics of UWB signal waveforms is presented based on the band-divided method. The distortion of various UWB impulse waveforms with indoor refraction is studied. A good agreement is achieved between the band-divided results and the published results.
