Effective Permittivity and Permeability of Magnetic Metamaterials with Periodic Array of 2D Electronic Layers in Quantum Hall Effect Conditions

Abstract

Influence of the confinement of 2D-carriers and the Landau quantization on electromagnetic response of a periodic ferrite-semiconductor multilayer is studied in the presence of quantizing magnetic field along optical axis of the structure. A new heliconlike solution is found at very low frequencies, which depends on the parameters of both semiconductor and magnetic layers.
