In this paper, a new predicting method of power capacity in cavity bandpass filter is introduced. The relationship between energy storage and strength of electric field in resonator can be obtained. The energy storage in each resonator can be computed from the equivalent circuit. By analyzing the maximum electric field strength and the input power, the power handling capacity can be accurately forecasted.
