Abstract
In this paper Multiple Cavity Modeling Technique (MCMT) has been applied to electrically large structures such as waveguide fed horn radiator with infinite ground plane at the radiating aperture and waveguide taper. The flared or tapered section has been divided into a large number of cavities of equal length to model the structure. The analysis has been verified by the reasonable agreement obtained between the MCMT data and other theoretical/measured data for linear double or E-plane tapered waveguide. The limitations of MCMT in studying the electrically large structures have been clearly mentioned using the example of a 7-inch square horn.
