Abstract

This paper presents a technique of dual beam modulation without a phase center, which can transform the parameters of antenna directional patterns into microwave signal transmitted from two antennas. The modulated field has two chip signal vectors whose sum and whose difference are controlled by the gains of antennas, and the angle between the sum vector and the differential vector depends on the phase error between the two antennas so that the different microwave signals can be transmitted at the different directions. In additional, the communication and tracking systems was designed with the proposed modulation. Simulation results show that this modulation can be used for the receiver with a single antenna to estimate the direction of arrived signal while communicating data.
