Abstract
A ring resonator band pass filter is designed to have a sharp and broad rejection band. The filter is composed of a resonant ring with orthogonal input and output lines. Two coupled line sections are used as stubs loading the resonator so as to produce a band-pass response with sharp roll-off to a wide stop-band. The computed filter response show good agreement with simulated and experimental measurements. It turns out that the filter has also a low-pass band with sharp cutoff behavior.
