Abstract

This paper presents the design and fabrication of a band rejection ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna integrated with rectangular split-ring resonators (SRRs) etched on both sides of the circular radiating patch. The proposed band rejection UWB antenna has the impedance bandwidth of about 3.1 ∼ 11.7 GHz within VSWR ≤ 2 and a notched frequency band of about 5.1 ∼ 5.9 GHz. The proposed antenna is fed by the CPW line, and it is a monopole type with SRR rejecting 5.15 ∼ 5.825 GHz band limited by the WLAN (IEEE802.11a/n).
