Abstract
Capacitance of asymmetric conductor-backed coplanar waveguides (CPWs) is studied. An electrostatic boundary-value problem associated with the asymmetric conductor-backed CPWs is solved based on the Fourier transform, mode matching technique, and superposition. The formulation for the capacitance of the asymmetric conductor-backed CPWs is obtained in a series form. The computation is performed to show the behaviors of the capacitance in terms of the CPW geometry.
