Abstract
An analytical design procedure for a new type of traveling-wave-fed rectangular waveguide slot array has been developed. Unlike other waveguide slot antennas, this antenna exhibits an invariant squint angle for the main beam over a restricted frequency band. By inverting the design procedure an algorithm can be created which permits one to predict the antenna performance theoretically. The procedure was validated by designing and building a test antenna. Agreement between theory and experiment has been found to be very good.
