Abstract
A parasitically excited resonant slot in the side-wall of a bifurcated rectangular waveguide is examined for the case where both the radiating and the parasitic elements of the slot combination are transverse to the waveguide axis. The theoretical predictions demonstrate that the slot behaves as a series element, and the computed results are shown to compare favorably with experiment.
