Scattering by a Rotating Dielectric Cylinder - Oblique Incidence Case

Pages 201-211 | Published online: 03 Apr 2012

Abstract

A solution is presented for the fields scattered by a rotating dielectric, circular cylinder. The incident field is an arbitrarily polarized plane wave, obliquely incident with respect to the axis of the cylinder. The solution is obtained by using a perturbative method and is valid in the limit of "small" angular velocities. Numerical results for the echo width of the cylinder for both TEz and TMz polarized, incident fields are shown.
