Abstract
We solve ab initio the boundary value problem of a highly conducting sheet of infinite extent for an exterior source. The sheet is characterized by conductances which may be different in the two principal orthogonal directions. The sources considered are: a vertical magnetic dipole, horizontal line current, and a vertical electric dipole. Among other things, it is shown that the anisotropy of the sheet causes coupling between the TE and the TM waves resulting in depolarization of the radiation fields.
