Abstract
A method for fixing nulls with phase-only control in equispaced linear arrays is presented. The method uses the polynomial roots associated to the power pattern of an equispaced linear array along with the simulated annealing technique. In addition, the method minimizes the sidelobe level and can be easily modified to obtain power patterns with desired nulls depth, without fixing any null (only the sidelobe level is lowered) or patterns with fixed nulls and controlled sidelobe level without null filling. Examples of an equispaced 20-element linear array are shown.
