Resumen

Se critica el “cientificismo” positivista en la cultura y sociedad modernas. La ciencia es analizada no sólo en sus aplicaciones sino como discurso hegemónico en el que el sujeto social queda desplazado. Se propone un pluralismo epistemológico en el que tienen cabida la interdisciplinariedad, el diálogo de la ciencia con el saber campesino tradicional y la participación de los agentes implicados en la determinación de los fines de las investigaciones. Los conceptos de “cienciapostnormal” y “cienciaparticipativa” también son abordados.

Abstract

Positivist science in modern society and culture is criticized. This science is analized as applied knowledge and as hegemonic discourse in which the social individual is displaced. A pluralistic epistemology opened to peasant knowledge is proposed. The concepts of “participative science” and “postnormal science” are also analysed.
