Resumen

El objetivo de este artículo es situar los trabajos que componen este monográfico en el contexto de la práctica educativa relacionada con el aprendizaje matemático. Para ello, haremos una breve revisión sobre la influencia que ha tenido la psicología en la educación matemática, fundamentalmente desde la aportación de dos perspectivas: la cognitiva representada por el procesamiento de la información y la sociocultural que refleja la influencia de la cultura del aula en la actividad matemática. Aunque los artículos del monográfico se enmarcan en esta segunda perspectiva, ambas pueden enriquecerse mutuamente.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to situate the articles included in this monographic issue within the context of educational practice involving mathematical learning. For this purpose, we undertake a brief review of how psychology has influenced mathematics education, primarily based on the contribution of two perspectives: 1) the cognitive perspective represented by information processing, and 2) the socio-cultural perspective reflecting the influence of the classroom culture on mathematical activity. Finally, although the papers in this monographic issue fall within the second approach, both can enrich each other.
