Abstract

The paper summarizes a research project evaluating e-learning training programmes on occupational risk prevention and environment, taught by the ISTAS Foundation during 2008. The study included a quantitative phase in which ad hoc questionnaires were used, and a qualitative phase. The questionnaires were filled in by 471 participants, 184 participants were interviewed, and a total of nine discussion groups were held. General descriptive, correlational and content analyses were undertaken in the first phase; and in the second, content analysis, implementation of an inductive categorical system of discussions groups, and study of preestablished hypotheses using AQUAD software. The results show high ratings for degree of satisfaction with the training provided. The present research can help improve the praxis of this institution as well as other entities that provide long distance training.
