LLOC de JOC, an innovation project

Abstract

The incorporation of children to infant school (kindergarten), second cycle of the stage of infantile education in Spain, has raised new challenges in the youngest children's education. specifically the conception of school as developmental context has evidenced the need of the teachers and families' sharing of a common educational project. Likewise, a pedagogic rephrasing is necessary in order to provide these students space, materials and activities fit for their age.

Both reflections were taken as a basis for the creation of an innovative experience for the schools of a Barcelona neighbourhood, that is, the creation of a playing and relation environment called LLOC de JOC, program of the Context-Infància project.
