Abstract
The research effort oriented towards the modelling of metal powder compaction necessitates laborious experimental work to validate theoretical assumptions. Many interesting experimental setups have been reported in the literature. However, results obtained from a setup can be significantly different from others leading to divergent efforts and conclusions. This paper will present and compare part of the experimental work done on powder cold compaction in the last 20 years. Some of the experimental setups that will be reviewed are the combined hydrostatic-uniaxial press, the angled blocks setup and the precompacted method. PM/1071
