Abstract
The paper describes the pottery from Hurbat Rosh Zayit in the Lmver Galilee. This is a one-period site, rich in finds, with a proposed mid-ninth-century B.C. destruction attributable to Shalmaneser III in 841 B.C. This provides a terminus post quem for the local and Cypro-Phoenician pottery. The author suggests a mid-tenth to mid-ninth-centuries B.C. date for the pottery assemblage. These chronological limits provide a basis for more precise dating of other Phoenician and Cypriot pottery assemblages.
