The Effect of Precipitate Distribution on the Tensile and Fatigue Behaviour of a Copper-1.8% Beryllium Alloy

Pages 195-200 | Published online: 18 Jul 2013

Abstract

The fatigue and tensile properties in the macro- and micro-strain regions have been determined for a copper- 1.8 wt.-% beryllium alloy after various thermomechanical treatments. It is shown that these properties are dependent on the distribution of the precipitates and dislocations introduced by the thermomechanical treatment.
