Nonlinguistic tests for evaluation of central auditory processing disorders

Pages 67-72 | Published online: 20 Nov 2013

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to propose a test battery with nonlinguistic tests to assess central auditory processing disorders in populations with non-English speakers or non-native English speakers in the Asia Pacific regions. Nonlinguistic tests using tonal stimuli proposed in the test battery include behavioural tests (pitch patterns, duration patterns and masking level differences) as well as electrophysiological measures (P300 and MMN event-related potentials).
