Alexander Etkind

Alexander Etkind is Professor of Russian Literature and Cultural History at King’s College, University of Cambridge. He has published on various subjects, including Russian sexuality, from Eros of the Impossible: The History of Psychoanalysis in Russia (Westview, 1996) to Internal Colonization: Russia’s Imperial Experience (Polity, 2011). His most recent book is Remembering Katyn (Polity 2012, with co-authors) and his Warped Mourning: Stories of the Undead in the Land of the Unburied will be published by Stanford University Press in 2013.
