Abstract

The determination of phosphorus content in LiFePO4 by the quinoline phosphomolybdate gravimetric method in the presence of polyethylene glycol was investigated. The diameter of precipitation particles (D10) increased from 2·34 to 18·52 µm when the polyethylene glycol was added, so the particles cannot pass through the G4 crucible filter plate. The precision of this method for the determination of phosphorus in LiFePO4 is 0·08–0·13% which is three times higher than that of traditional method, and the recovery of standard addition was 99·76–100·24%.
