Abstract

45 steel, aluminium alloy, copper alloy and cast iron were selected as the materials of the connecting rods of the conjugate cam weft insertion mechanism as the research object and the conjugate cam weft insertion mechanism with clearance as the research platform, the simulation of mechanical movement was conducted and the kinetic characteristic curves of the sword belt were obtained. The difference curves were drawn by comparing the characteristic curves when the mechanism was rigid. Considering the properties of the material itself, the ultimate load of the connecting rods in different materials was analysed with ADMAS. Under the ultimate load on the flexible component in ANSYS, the influence of the material properties on kinetic characteristics and the deformation of the connecting rods were provided based on the analysis of the strain nephograms. The characteristics of the movement were the best and the deformation of connecting rod mechanism was not much obvious when aluminium alloy was selected.
