Abstract

The slip line is one of the defects on the surface of the stamping parts, which seriously affects the forming precision and the surface quality. The forming processes of the box shaped part with curved bottom under the different draw beads were studied by the simulation and experiments. The results showed that the flow of the blanks under the different draw beads were also different to each other. When the blank passed through the draw bead, deformation force of bending and reverse bending, friction force and deformation resistance generated by deformation‐hardening increased the feed resistance, so that the flow velocity and feedrate of different regions of the blank could be controlled by changing the geometrical parameters and the positions of the draw bead. The different draw beads not only changed the displacement of the slip line, but also the moving direction of the slip line.
