Kenton Clymer is Distinguished Research Professor at Northern Illinois University. He is the author of several books, most of which explore United States relations with South and Southeast Asia. His most recent book is Troubled Relations: The United States and Cambodia Since 1870 (DeKalb, IL: Northern Illinois University Press, 2007). He is currently completing a history of US relations with Burma/Myanmar since World War II.
