Abstract

The 2006 conference of the Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA), held in Tasmania on 19–22 November 2006, conference was opened in its traditional manner with the 'starting of the corrosion clock' by the ACA President, Dean Wall, or in reality the connecting of a galvanic cell to generate an electron flow to power the venerable timepiece.
