Abstract
A modification of Andresen appliance therapy has been described with the incorporation of an anterior oral screen which isolates the anterior teeth from the vestibular musculature.
The main points of interest are the rate of overjet reduction, the simplicity of construction and virtual absence of adjustment which rendered this appliance suitable in areas where orthodontic treatment was severely limited.
