Treatment Following Loss of Second Premolars

Abstract

The indications for extracting second premolars are discussed. A progressively banded technique is described, demonstrating the various modifications required to handle cases ranging from space closure to maximum anchorage problems. The advantages of this technique are outlined, and some difficulties that may be encountered are discussed.
