Thornbush Farm, Formerly Lousy Farm: An Early Home of the Rev. Patrick Brontë

Abstract

These notes accompanied an application by the Spen Valley Civic Society to Kirklees Metropolitan Council to give Thornbush Farm Listed Building Status on historical grounds and for a Buildings Preservation Notice to be served. We are grateful to the Civic Society for permission to reprint these notes. The help given to the Civic Society by Imelda Marsden, the Brontë Society's Heritage Officer, is also acknowledged.
