Phase Study of the System Na₂O−Al₂O₃−H₂O

Abstract

The Na₂O-rich region of the phase diagram of Na₂O-Al₂O₃-H₂O system has been re-investigated. The triple points and solubility curves involving two sodium aluminate hydrates have been determined at 30°C. The Na₂O-rich aluminate hydrate is identified to be 4Na₂O·Al₂O₃·12 H₂O by a tracer method. Résumé

On a ré-examiné la région riche en Na₂O du diagramme de phase du système Na₂O-Al₂O₃-H₂O. On a déterminé, à 30°C, les points triples et les courbes de solubilité impliquant deux hydrates d'aluminate riche en Na₂O comme étant le 4 Na₂O−Al₂O₃−12 H₂O, au moyen d'une méthode par traceur. On a révisé le diagramme de phase en se basant sur ces résultats.
