In the ninth in a series of articles examining the ways in which courts have preserved, destroyed and edited their own history, Christer Jorgensen discusses the overthrow of Gustavus IV Adolphus in 1809 and the subsequent obliteration of the Wasa dynasty from Swedish history by Karl XIV Johan (Marshal Bernadotte).
