Abstract
The University of Sheffield's National Centre for English Cultural Tradition (NATCECT) is unique in being the only department in any English university dedicated to teaching and research in Folklore Studies. The Centre comprises a substantial folklore archive, library and museum, and is one of three departments making up the University's School of English, which also includes English Literature and English Language and Linguistics.
