Abstract

Many variables contribute to the successful immunostaining of water-miscible glycol methacrylate embedded sections. These variables (fixations, dehydration, infiltration, temperature, antigenic sites, molecule size, and resin composition) and their effects on antigenicity are discussed. An extensive review of the literature is included. (The J Histotechnol 11:243, 1988)
