Incision in a Foam Pad for Embedding Orientation

Abstract

A known but rarely used method of placing a small specimen in an incision in a foam pad provides information about correct orientation while embedding. This simple method improves communication between the grossing person and the histotechnologist. (The J Histotechnol 31:141, 2008)
