Abstract

As a future-oriented enterprise, Stahlwerke Bremen gives high priority to achieving both customer and employee satisfaction. The company constantly invests in state-of-the-art-technology to enable it to react flexibly to the growing demands of the market. The automation and production improvements implemented in the roll shop of the hot strip mill to respond to this difficult challenges, in particular the high level of costs that prevail in Europe, are described.
