Abstract
This paper reviews R&D activities at Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Centre carried out in the field of superconductivity, covering the whole spectrum between fundamental research and superconductor development preceding application. Particular emphasis is laid on cuprate high Tc superconductors. Topics covered include electronic structure, lattice dynamics, thermodynamic properties, thin films, critical currents, wires and tapes, and texturised bulk materials with a high flux trapping capability.
