A Select Annotated Bibliography of Library History in the Germanic Language Areas of Continental Western Europe (Excluding Germany) Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and Belgium

Abstract

This annotated bibliography was created in an effort to collect and evaluate sources pertaining to library history in the Germanic language areas of continental Europe, aside from Germany itself. The impetus for this project arose from my observation that information on German library history is abundant, and I became curious about the state of library history scholarship in the often overlooked ‘other’ Germanic language areas.
