Promoting Occupational Therapy Service Development in Vietnam

Abstract

Two occupational therapy educators from the United States visited Vietnam, each as a member of an interdisciplinary team to work with Vietnamese professionals who provide services to children and adults with disabilities. The purpose was to present information, conduct assessments, demonstrate techniques and provide a model for interdisciplinary team development. The article includes the authors’ observations of occupational therapy as a developing profession in two centers located in Hanoi and Hue.
